I'm a researcher on Interoperability within Product Lifecycle Management field, and international expert within the standardization community (ISO 10303). I achieved a thesis on "Interoperability of Enterprise Technical Applications within Extended Enterprise", proposing a federative framework based on simultaneous usage MDA, SOA and ontology. I identified MDA as one of the enabler for effective and pragmatic interoperability within the eBusiness PLM community.
My experience of Model Driven Software Development:
I studied several case tools implementing MDA, and developed several proofs of concept using AndroMDA.
I identified numerous interoperability issues coming from UML (and XMI), and the way UML (and XMI) is implemented by the software product of the market, being commercial or open source.
