"  My personal subjective observation is that 98% of MDx projects use only one model.   In a sense MDA is a reaction to early 90'ies CASE (a model, a generator, the code). CASE's claim could not be met. One of the reasons was (not…"

"The main reason why I am asking this is because I cannot understand how one is supposed to create a PIM then generate a PSM and then generate Code from it, when there are no tools out there to allow to enhance the PSM and keep it in sync with the…"

"Hi, maybe our OCP approach is what you're looking for. With OCPs you avoid code transformations alltogether in favor of a dynamic projection. Basically, this works like database views, but with objects, i.e. you have an object structure (model)…"

"Hi Mobasher,   as far as I know there is no M2M-transformation engine that solves the problem with protected areas in target models yet. Especially I don't know something like this for Operational QVT or medini QVT. I would like…"

Model to model transformation

Hi, I was wondering if the following two features are available in any open source, free or commercial technology: 1) Following the MDA approach I want to transform a PIM to a PSM. While I can transform the PIM to a PSM with xTend (openArchitectureWare), I also want to be able to enhance the PSM with platform specific attributes. Sofar thats all doable, but here comes the problem: Is there a technology that would allow me to change the PIM and transform it to the manually enhanced PSM without…See More
