I failed to convince my students about the benefits of code-generation

Some days ago I wrote this post reporting on the feedback I got from my students after asking them to use a code-generator to build a simple CRUD-like application. The post was highly controversial and got quite a few interesting discussions. Therefore I thought it would be also interesting for this communitySee More

Hi,Jordi,

I am a professor and  the director of Department of Software Engineering from Beijing Information Science Technology University(BISTU,http://www.bistu.edu.cn), preparing for teaching Advanved Software Engineering course for the postgraduates this semaster. The book,Model-Driven Software Engineering in Practice(ISBN:9781608458820)  is  a very good textbook' selection as my need. It's emergent for me to get teaching materials including Powerpoint slides for all of the chapters and the examples presented in Chapter 7, 8, and 9 as Eclipse projects.I would be grateful if you can send a copy of the slides and other project materials,or tell me how to get them as soon as possible.

Hi Jordi.
I liked your quote about the usage of 20% of UML as blogged by Ivar Jacobson. So, I elaborate a bit on it:
