Jon Hurwitz commented on Anders Hessellund's blog post PhD on domain-specific multimodeling
""The dissertation is still available for download if the above quote caught your attention." Interesting. I've only had time to skim-read the paper, certainly not enough to do it justice, and it's nice to see a different, more…"

Jon Hurwitz replied to Rui Curado's discussion How to make MDSD more attractive to the "mere developer mortal"?
"Yes, most developers are paid by time spent, lines of code, etc., and have no financial incentive to become more productive. And nor have management. Why champion a new method, when the old one delivers. If you fail your job is at risk, if you…"

Jon Hurwitz replied to Vlad VARNICA's discussion Which metamodel to select for DSL ?
"While you are there, I didn't suggest that all graphical DSLs be based on XML. Just that that's what we started out doing, however you're right that I think that XMI is a terrible standard for data model transfer. We also use Ecore.…"

Jon Hurwitz replied to Rui Curado's discussion Is this community dead already, and what does that mean to MDSD?
"Perhaps the community needs to grow bigger before we find uses for it, other than guaging what others in the field are up to, which is useful in its own right. I've recently been looking at the LinkedIn MDA group, and despite it's 1700+…"

Jon Hurwitz replied to Jorge Ubeda's discussion Behavioral modeling

Jon Hurwitz replied to Vlad VARNICA's discussion Can MDD use an agile approach ?
"Just because UML doesn't properly support your preferred team split, why should that mean the team will probably be split into modellers and developers? Aren't there many more ways to skin the cat? I don't know Shlaer-Mellor. If you…"

Hi Jon, thanks for that but unfortunately that's one of the questions I can't remove :-(

I've basically added everything under 'Profile Questions' on your profile page, everything under 'Profile' is put there by Ning.

BTW I *think* I've now stabilised the set of questions. Please let me know if you think there should be more / less and whether you have any comments on the wording - particularly anything you feel might be hard for a non-native English speaker.

I'm mucking about with the profile questions at the moment so I'd leave filling those out until things have settled down. Trying to get a balance between helping people find others with a shared interest and asking too many questions :-)
