Ashley McNeile replied to Jorge Ubeda's discussion Behavioral modeling
"Hi Vlad I am not actually using the UML Superstructure at all! I have been working with a behavioural model based on "protocol machines" to model both object and process behaviour. My particular interest is in compositional modelling, in…"

Ashley McNeile replied to Jorge Ubeda's discussion Behavioral modeling
"Hi Jorge I am also puzzled as to why there is not more interest in improving the way we model software behaviour. Particularly as it seems key to the success of model driven approaches such as MDA. In the context of MDA, I think there are a number…"

Ashley McNeile replied to Jorge Ubeda's discussion Behavioral modeling
"Hi Jorge As a further comment, it seems to me that the concept of a “Behaviour Contract” as I described is very similar to the concept of an “Abstract Process” in BPEL. Below is an extract from an IBM website on BPEL: * * *…"

Ashley McNeile replied to Jorge Ubeda's discussion Behavioral modeling
"Hi all I have been working more on the kind of behavioural contract idea that I mentioned in my previous post, so am uploading a short paper that describes the idea. I hope this may give some clue as to what I am talking about (athough it may…"

Ashley McNeile replied to Jorge Ubeda's discussion Behavioral modeling
"Hi all We seem to have a reasonable common agreement that we need to have semantics as basis for behavioural modelling. However I am not sure how this should be done. But here are some thoughts. In my view, a model needs be two things: 1.…"

Ashley,

I am very impressed with you guys' work and I am just as puzzled as you are why this kind of approach has remained confidential. Would it be possible to have a public access to your latest article? Or maybe you have published a version that is public?

Thanks,

JJ-

Dear Ashley
Finally, opted for open a discussion repeating my arguments to Ella and you. I have thought initially to add your comments, but later I judge that I have no right to do it, given that you and Ella are the owners of your concepts. Why reduce or alter them, when you are here?
Hope you agree with the description of the subject, at less for initiate this.
Kindly
Jorge Ubeda

Hi Ashley
First of all, excuse my delayed reply...Lack of time, and interest in reading your papers first were the reasons.
Secondly, I would thank you for your confidence in pointing me your working papers, and for devoting me your time, like Ella does.
And then, I think this discussion has merit to open a discussion thread. I would invite you to do so, or, if you prefer, I could make it. Let me know your preference.
In the meantime, I´m reading.
With kind regards
Jorge
