"Hi Gregor, I'm just a member here, too, but to all my knowledge posts like yours are very welcome. Since most people are very busy with there own work, it might be helpful to describe your solution a bit, or, if available, give some links or…"

"Interesting article, some fresh thoughts I can appreciate well. 2 1/2 remarks:   > Code generation is completely avoided, because it is complex and unnecessary. I think the role of code generation is an intermediate enabler. It's…"

Andreas Leue commented on Jordi Cabot's blog post What researchers in Software Engineering are working on
"There's next to no exciting term sticking out, that same map could have been from 2011, 2010, ..., 2000, ..., 1990, .., couldn't it? But maybe this is more due to the nature of the papers, who naturally have to refer and relate back to…"

Andreas Leue replied to Andriy Levytskyy's discussion Arguments for Declarative Transformation Development
"The combobox on the left saying "Deutsch" (German) is for language switching (I guess we should replace that with language flags, sorry for the inconvenience). Anyway, this is a direct link to the english tutorial."

Andreas Leue replied to Andriy Levytskyy's discussion Arguments for Declarative Transformation Development
"Andriy, your initiative is very welcome!  Our DSLs as well a M2M in EM/OS are solely based on declarative style transformations. What can I say? They are pretty readable and maintable, we love them ;-) In short, the basic principle is…"

"Hi Alex, I think it's simply,  two hypes over two decades (CASE, MDA) without success are too much to bear for  business. Here in the forum you find the enthusiasts and visionaries who didn't give up, even if it takes so long,…"

Andreas Leue replied to Alex Semenov's discussion Request for a tool classification...
"In general, UML is more or less apt for modelling everything you want, even a bubble sort, why not. But I think the key issue here is "abstraction level", i.e. why would you want to do that on a certain level, and how easy is it to do…"

Andreas Leue replied to Alex Semenov's discussion Request for a tool classification...
"Much agreed, see also comment above. To some degree, code generation (M2T) serves just as a kind of intermediate technology used to climb up to the next abstraction level, since it allows easy experimentation. It has been served that purpose before…"
