Participants of CodeGen 2011 are not so different from the developer managers...

At Code Generation 2011 panel “Build or Buy: Who should develop your DSL and generators?” I had a chance to ask audience opinion too. The results were:

Internally: 17
Tool vendor: 9
External consultant: 8
Don’t know: 10

It was not a surprise that the attitude of self-made man was well presented at the conference, but our studies targeting developer managers show pretty similar results (see results here). For me this means that enthuastic code generator developers seem to be on the same page with developer managers….
