SUMMARY:LDTA 2010
DESCRIPTION:10th Workshop on Language Descriptions, Tools, and Applica
tions\n\nLDTA is an application and tool oriented forum on meta progra
mming in a broad sense. A meta program is a program that takes other p
rograms as input or output. The focus of LDTA is on generated or other
wise efficiently implemented meta programs, possibly using high level
descriptions of programming languages. Tools and techniques presented
at LDTA are usually applicable in the context of \"Language Workbenche
s\" or \"Meta Programming Systems\" or simply as parts of advanced pro
gramming environments or IDEs.\n\nTopics\n\nProgram analysis, transfor
mation, generation, and verification\nImplementation of Domain Specifi
c Languages (both graphical and textual)\nReverse engineering and reen
 gineering\nRefactoring and other source-to-source transformations\nApp
lication modelling (MDE, MDA, Software Factories, Software product lin
 es)\nGrammar engineering / Grammarware\nLanguage definition and langua
ge prototyping\nDebugging, profiling, and testing\n\n\nSubmission proc
edure and publication\n\nSubmissions in the following categories are a
 dmissible:\n\nresearch papers\ntool papers\nexperience papers\n\n\nThe
final version of the accepted papers will, pending approval, be publi
shed in the ACM Digital Library and will also be made available during
  the workshop.\n\nEach submission must:\n\nclearly and unambiguously s
tate in which of the three categories it falls\nbe original, i.e. not
 published or submitted elsewhere\ncontain a clear motivation\ncontain
a thorough analysis of the claimed contributions (for example by compa
ring to related work);\nbe written in less than 15 pages (research pap
ers and experience reports), or less than 10 pages (tool papers)\nuse
the standard LaTeX article style (\documentclass[10pt]{article}, \usep
ackage{authblk} for affiliations)\n\n\nThe authors of each submission
are required to give a presentation at LDTA 2010. The authors of the t
ool papers are required to include an interactive demonstration in the
ir presentations.\nThe authors of the best papers will be invited to w
rite a journal version of their paper which will be separately reviewe
d and, assuming acceptance, be published in journal form. As in past y
ears, this will be done in a special issue devoted to LDTA 2010 of the
journal Science of Computer Programming (Elsevier Science).\n\nImport
ant dates\n\n\nAbstract submission deadline: (Friday) November 27, 200
 9\nPaper submission deadline: (Friday) December 04, 2009\nNotification
of acceptance: (Friday) February 05, 2010\nWorkshop dates: (weekend)
during ETAPS, March 20-28, 2010\n\n\nFor more information visit http:/
