SUMMARY:10th Domain-Specific Modeling workshop
DESCRIPTION:The workshop welcomes submissions that address Domain-Spec
ific Modeling on practical or theoretical levels. Our main focus is on
graphical domain-specific languages but we will also consider submiss
ions on textual or other DSLs. Some of the issues that we would like t
o see addressed in this workshop are:\n- Industry/academic experience
reports describing success/failure in implementing and using DSM langu
ages/tools\n- Approaches to identify constructs for DSM languages\n- N
ovel features in language workbenches / tools to support DSM\n- Approa
ches to implement metamodel-based modeling languages\n- Metamodeling f
rameworks and languages\n- Modularization technologies for DSM languag
es and models\n- Novel approaches for code generation from domain-spec
ific models\n- Issues of support/maintenance for systems built with DS
M\n- Evolution of languages along with their domain\n- Organizational
and process issues in DSM adoption and use\n- Demonstrations of workin
g DSM solutions\n- Identification of domains where DSM can be most pro
ductive in the future\n\nImportant Dates\n============\nInitial submis
sion: August 10\nAuthor Notification: mid-September\nFinal version: Se
 ptember 30\nWorkshop: October 17-18\n\nSubmission Information\n=======
==========\nThe workshop welcomes four types of submissions:\n\n1) Ful
l papers describing ideas on either a practical or theoretical level.
Full papers should emphasize what is new and significant about the cho
sen approach and compare it to other work in the field.\n2) Experience
reports on applying DSM. Papers should describe case studies and expe
rience reports on the application, successes or shortcomings of DSM. T
he experiences can be related to language creation or use, tooling, or
organizational issues, among others.\n3) Position papers describing w
ork in progress or an author's position regarding current DSM practice
.\n4) DSM demonstrations describing a particular language, generator,
or tool for a particular domain. During the workshop, the DSM solution
presented in the paper can be demonstrated to the participants.\n\nPa
pers should be submitted by August 10, 2010. Contributions should be s
ubmitted electronically in PDF format. Submitted papers must conform t
o the ACM SIG Proceedings style - except that the copyright box on the
first page must be removed (2-column, see templates). The maximum len
gth of a submission is 6 pages. Please see the submission details at t
 he workshop webpage (http://www.dsmforum.org/events/DSM10).\n\nThe acc
epted papers will be published in the printed proceedings and posted o
n the workshop web site.\n\nFor more information visit http://modeldri
